Is Mental Performance Coaching the same thing as Sport Counseling??
No. They are similar, but different services. Mental performance coaching focuses only on the mental skills and tools that will help you be a better athlete. Things like motivation, self-confidence, managing attention, and mindfulness.
Sport counseling can help you with a diagnosable mental health challenge like anxiety, depression, or trauma. Sometimes counseling can help with mental blocks, trauma from an injury, or managing the grief of retiring from sport.
Do I need to be flexible to do Yoga?
I hear this question often and the answer is No. :). Improved flexibility can be a nice side benefit of yoga practice, but you don’t need to be flexible to start. You just need an open mind. Give it a try!
